Make A Better Meeting: Tactics and Tools for More Effective Meetings
Synopsis: Meetings are more often than not one of the most costly investments teams make, yet, the vast majority of meetings are rated as inefficient or worse, a waste of time. This is fair feedback for many meetings, yet there is a robust toolkit and set of approaches that we can take to help shift more of our meetings to time well spent- achieving key outcomes, connecting people to solve complex problems, and launching people back to their individual work with clarity and direction. In this workshop you will:
- Take a 20,000-foot view of the current state of most meetings and identify some of the root causes of problematic meetings
- Examine the Before, During, and After of effective meetings
- Expands your toolkit and tactics as both meeting facilitator and meeting participant, to ensure that you contribute to more meetings that you are a part of being well organized and effective uses of time
